Death Star Escape w/ Chewbacca, Han Solo, and Luke Skywalker
First of all this set was a Toys "R" Us exclusive, it was very hard to find during its initial release, and it is worth about $35. OK enough about that, let's get to the review! The Chewbacca in this set was absolutely superlative, he had an all new paint job which featured dark blotches on the legs and stomach. Chewie also included shackles like the ones that Han placed on him in A New Hope. The Han was in Stormtrooper disguise was a totally new mold, more of an action pose than the Kellog's exclusive. Han included an Imperial blaster. Last, the Luke looked great he too was in more of an action pose than the initial POTF2 Luke-Trooper. He included an Imperial blaster. The set came on a grey base intended to resemble the Death Star floor. All in all a sublime set well worth $15. GRADE:9.7
Cantina Showdown w/ Dr. Evazan, Ponda Boba, and Obi-Wan Kenobi
This set was a nice addition to the Kenner Collection. It was exclusive to Wal-Mart, was not quite as hard to obtain as the Death Star Escape, and is worth about $30. The Dr. Evazn was a long awaited figure, he came with a neat blaster and roughly looked like his "real life" counterpart. He had the distinct nose and was outfitted in properly colored clothing, he did however lack some detail. The Ponda Boba was very cool but was not better than the initial POTF2 figure(which was incredible). He had an all new blaster and was in a wicked action pose, he still had the vinyl coat, which really gives him character. Obi-Wan was the best figure in the set, he looked almost exactly like the initial Obi-Wan except he was in an action pose. A pretty good set. GRADE:8.5
